Object Description

WHITEHEAD's mouth gag with tongue depressor. Concave, double-arm gag with flat handles on the right-hand side and stops to lock and unlock the bilateral ratchets. 'GERMANY' and number '22' is stamped on the inside surface.

  • History of Use: Used by Dr. Bill French [1920-1992] who was a general surgeon at the Burris Clinic, Kamloops British Columbia circa 1952 to 1972. In 1972 he joined the Workers Compensation Board in Vancouver and moved to Tsawwassen.
