  • Owner: Dr. William D. Patton
  • History of Use: This instrument could not be sterilized because of the wooden handle. The instrument was used by Dr. William D. Patton [1880-1962], born Blantyre, Ontario. He obtained his medical degree from McGill in 1909 and moved to B.C. that same year. In 1911 he settled in Vancouver [associated in a practice with Dr. W.D. Kennedy for many years]. After he retired he continued with his research on infectious diseases.
