Object Description

The compound monocular microscope has a draw body tube that is course focused with rack and pinion on a square pillar. Fine focus is controlled by a knob on top of the pillar. The eye piece tube is adjustable for height. Accessories include an eye piece which is marked with a number "3", a double nosepiece, 2 objective lenses: 5/8 and 1/7, and a body tube mounted bull's eye condensing lens, 4cm dia. A wheel of 5 stops serves as the condenser beneath the square stage to which a pair of clips are attached. The plano-concave mirror is attached to an arm and gimbal. An oval metal trade label attached to the base reads "The International, M. Pillischer, London, Manufacturer" and serial number 4065 is engraved below the label. The microscope stands 25cm (min.) extending to 34.5cm.
