Object Description

Petit's spiral tourniquet. A long strap threaded through a brass screw device with a leather pad sewn into the strap at the steel buckle. Manufacturer's name 'W & H HUTCHINSON SHEFFIELD' stamped into the screw turn handle. Used to apply pressure to stop heavy bleeding, especially during amputations.
