Object Description
Portable balance beam scale which disassembles and folds into a metal case. Decorative engraving: 'Dr C. H. FITCH'S PRESCRIPTION SCALE PATENTED SEPT 29TH 1885' on lid within fancy border. The object consists of a detachable graduated arm and movable weight with a capacity up to 20 grains of powder or liquid, which slides into the back of a weighing pan which clips into the base of the case.
