Object Description

Lined lidded case containing ophthalmoscope and screw-on handle. Lenses are mounted on 2 rotating discs with numbers underneath; the plus numbers are in white, and the minus numbers are in red. 1 of the 4 external lenses [-5] is missing, all 15 internal lenses and the vertically tilting mirror are intact. 'Loring Ophthalmoscope' is stamped on lid in gold lettering. The indirect lens stored under a velvet flap in base is missing. The handle is not original.
