Object Description

Lined lidded case containing ophthalmoscope and screw-on handle. 2 of the 5 external lenses are missing otherwise all 15 internal lenses and the mirror are intact. 'Loring Ophthalmoscope' is stamped on lid in gold lettering. The indirect lens stored under a velvet flap in base is missing. The lid which is joined by a leather hinge to the back of the case has become detached. The handle is not original.
