Object Description

Plain male catheter with stilette. The catheter has two finger rest loops situated at the top where the stilette is inserted, and a solid rounded tip with two oval eyelets [one each side].

Acquisition Detail

  • Owner: Dr. Richard Eden Walker
  • History of Use: Used by Dr. R.E. Walker [1864-1923] physician and surgeon. Dr. Walker was born in Orillia, Ontario and relocated to New Westminster, BC in 1890 where he went into private practice. Elected President of the B.C. Medical Association in 1902, and President of the Medical Council of Canada in 1918. 1903 and 1911 served as president of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
