ROSE's double-ended mouth gag with ring slide and rubber sleeves over pressure ends. Manufacturer's details 'DOWN LONDON' stamped into surface. Rubber sleeve missing.

Acquisition Detail

  • Manufacturer: Down Bros.
  • Owner: Dr. Harold Dyer
  • History of Use: Instruments used by Dr Harold Dyer [1875-1963] born in England, he completed his medical training [M.R.C.S. & L.R.C.P.] in London in 1898 and a fellowship [F.R.C.S] in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1904. Dr Dyer served in the Boer War between 1900-1902 and in WWI 1915-1918. He emigrated to Canada in 1905 and became health officer for the Municipal District of North Vancouver. He became Coroner in 1923 until he retired in 1961.
