On the front and back the contents of a lozenge is specified 'Contain:-3% Chloroform; .312% Æther; 1.2 Muc. Linseed .03%Ol. Anisi; .0075% Ol. Menth. Pip; .075% Tinct. 993.246.1: Pill RollerPill Roller, 1870-1901 Pill roller instrument to make 24 small-sized pills, comprises of a flat handle bar with an attached grooved brass plate which wheels over a sloping board with a corresponding grooved brass plate, these grooves are graduated marking off the 6th, 12th, 18th and 24th groove. The makers name and address 'S. MAW, SON & THOMPSON 11 & 12 ALDERSGATE ST LONDON' and graduation marks are stamped into the surface.
993.239.1: Prescription ScalesPrescription Scales, 1886-1895 Portable balance beam scale which disassembles and folds into a metal case. Decorative engraving: 'Dr C. H. FITCH'S PRESCRIPTION SCALE PATENTED SEPT 29TH 1885' on lid within fancy border. The object consists of a detachable graduated arm and movable weight with a capacity up to 20 grains of powder or liquid, which slides into the back of a weighing pan which clips into the base of the case. Original box container missing.
